SMS Campaigns: How to create an SMS campaign

Create and Launch a New MMS Campaign

Learn how to set up a new MMS campaign from scratch. This guide will walk you through creating a campaign, adding test users, and launching it to your audience.



1. Navigate to your First Timers dashboard.

2. Click "MMS."

3. Click "Create Campaign."

4. Click "MMS" again.

5. Choose whichever campaign option you'd like. For this example, I will click "Create a custom campaign."

6. Click this text field and name your campaign.

7. Click and choose your brand of choice.

8. Set your parameters to "Active" or "Static" based on preference.

9. Choose your persona.

10. Click the "Enter introduction text" field and enter a desired message.

11. Click "Location" and choose whichever location you desire.

12. Click into "Objective" to choose your desired goal (Q&A, custom booking, etc.)

13. Click "Original Source" to choose the various lead sources you'd like to draw from for this campaign.

14. Click "Choose Substage Parameter" to further refine your lead sourcing, if desired.

15. Click "Contact type" and choose whether to target leads, existing customers, or both.

16. Click into "Contact Age in Days;" select "Greater than or Equal to" [NOTE: If you want to run a test campaign, set this to "Exactly"].

17. Set "Membership Age," "Number of Bookings," and "Hasn't Booked in Days" to "Greater than or Equal to" [NOTE: if running a test campaign, set all of these to "Exactly"].

18. Click "Do not enroll if previously enrolled in another campaign" to ensure leads from your source list aren't already being targeted by a separate campaign.

19. Click "Save," then refresh your screen.

20. Click "Run Test."

21. Enter your contact information. If it's already been entered, you will get an error message, so simply click "Search for a Record" instead.

22. Find your contact information, then click "Add Record."

23. Click "Run Test." You should then receive a text message. You now know your campaign is enabled.

24. When ready, click "Start Campaign"

25. Click "Start Now" and you're all set!
